For professionals
People in Addis describe the jobs they need doing. If the job is your trade and it is in the area you cover, it reaches your phone. You answer the ones you want, at the price you want.

Why join
A customer describes what needs doing. If it is work you are certified for and it is inside the area you cover, the request reaches you. You are not ringing round for work — it arrives.
You see the job before you commit to anything. Put a price on the ones you want and leave the rest. There is no charge for answering a request.
Mendly does not set your rates. You say what the job is worth, the customer accepts it or does not, and the figure is recorded against the job before you leave the house.
Every job you finish is rated, and your profile carries what you are certified for alongside what your customers said. Good work builds something instead of evaporating.
How it works
You are not applying for a position. You are joining a market and choosing what you take from it.
Tell us your trade, where you work and how to reach you. Before you take work through Mendly your skills are assessed and certified for that trade — that is the bar the whole marketplace rests on, and it applies to everyone.
Set the area you cover and the hours you are available. Matching requests arrive in Mendly Contractor while you are available, and stop when you are not.
Answer a request with your price. If the customer picks you, you go and do the work and close the job in the app. What was agreed is what is recorded, and your earnings and payouts sit in one place.
What Mendly asks of you
Nobody takes work through Mendly until their skills have been assessed for that trade. A certificate covers one trade and it has an end date; when it lapses, requests stop until it is renewed.
When you accept a job, the customer stops looking. Take the work you can do, when you said you would do it, and turn down the rest — turning one down costs you nothing.
We stand behind every job done through Mendly. That means a customer who is not satisfied comes to us and not to your gate, and it means we may ask you to put something right.
